We Make Change — Uniting people to change the world
We Make Change is a movement of over 20,000 ChangeMakers from more than 100 countries volunteering their skills to address the challenges the world faces today.
Our #takeaction podcast guest is the COO of We Make Change Jens Christian Trier.
We Make Change was founded when Social Enterprise & NGO consultant James Sancto discovered there were so many people who wanted to use their skills to support the causes they care about, but didn’t know how they could.
We Make Change was created to enable anyone, anywhere to use their skills to make the change they want to see.
Our team now includes professionals from across the NGO, tech and corporate sectors. We are working together to ensure anyone, anywhere can use their skills to make the change they want to see. — We Make Change

Jens Christian’s tips for change makers:
- What type of causes you care about?
- What do you care about? What is your purpose? If you don’t know, you can start with this Passion Test or Life Visioning.
2. Use your skills
- Figure out what your skills are or skills you would like to have. Develop your skills and acquire experience by volunteering.
3. Time
- Figure out how many hours you are able to dedicate to voluntary projects. Be honest with yourself. Many times it’s more harmful for the organization to interview, spend time on recruiting process, onboarding etc. just to learn that the volunteer never shows up or commit to the assigned tasks.
