We are hosting an event where we bring together NGOs, change makers and startup mindset. Our event is for everyone who would like to create a positive change!

At our event we are having a facilitated idea generation workshop for action taking, following the panel discussion. We are happy to introduce the two amazing facilitators for our workshop: Niina Karvinen facilitating Where do ideas come from?and Priyanka Banerjee with theme Diversity, inclusion and emphaty.

Theme 1: Where do ideas come from?

What good is an idea if it remains an idea? Try. Experiment. Iterate. Fail. Try again. Change the world.” — Simon Sinek

Where do ideas come from, how do they evolve, and how each of us can nurture them.

In this workshop we start to explore new opportunities and generating new ideas to solve specific problems. These can be problems that your customers are facing, or problems that your organization is experiencing. Or something you have faced in every day life yourself.

In this workshop we will find and then walk through these ideas, study and evaluate them, in order for you to have something tangible to work forward. You will learn, hands on, some methods and techniques how to ideate and how to validate the ideas found.

Workshop facilitator:

Niina Karvinen, Business deveopment specialist, University of Oulu

I am a business developer, coach and mentor with professional background in international marketing and marketing communication. My current expertise lies in running incubator and accelerator programs, building innovation communities and ecosystems and coaching people with business ideas. I use coaching, Lean Service Creation and service design tools in my work.

My passion is to help entrepreneurs, companies and communities with my expertise to be the best version of themselves.

In the future I would like to build better communities where everyone has achance to add value. I would also like to help women entrepreneurs in development countries to make the change.

Theme 2: Diversity, inclusion and empathy

“Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success.’’ — Henry Ford

All of us wants to feel respected, included and happy in our life, society and workplace. We want to create a place where everyone can feel safe, trusted and empowered, a future that is inclusive.

In this workshop, we will get together and find solutions that would help us in achieving an inclusive society. We will brainstorm on how we can create a future that works for all by identifying the challenges in our existing workplaces and finding ideas to solve them. The aim would be to come up with actionable steps, practical tips and tangible results that we can take home with us, start implementing them at our workplaces or society and take action to create a future we desire!

Who is it for?

  • Do you want to create an impact on society?
  • Do you believe in a future that belongs to everyone?
  • Are you the one who takes action?
  • Are you a think tank?
  • Are you interested in topics like diversity, inclusion, empathy or equity?

Congrats! This workshop is where you need to be. Come along with an open mind and don’t forget to bring your heart. Together we will create the Future!

Workshop facilitator:

Priyanka Banerjee, CEO & Co-founder BusinessWiz Oy, Diversity & Inclusion Coach
